ATG4D (Uniprot: Q86TL0)

Structure      Interactors       Orthologs
General Information

ATG4D is one of the four cysteine proteases of ATG4 family proteins, recognized in human which play a role in conjugation and deconjugation of ATG8 family proteins (PMID: 11038174). It is not known if ATG4D plays any role in ATG8 processing in autophagy however some studies suggest Atg4D as an autophagy regulator that links mitochondrial dysfunction with apoptosis (PMID: 19549685).
