PIK3R4- a serine/threonine kinase essential for the phosphorylation of inositides. It belongs to PIK3C3 complex and acts as an important regulatory subunit that activates the complex by mediating the interaction between PIK3C3 and UVRAG-Beclin1 (PMID: 20643123, 25490155). PIK3R4 contains an N-terminal kinase domain, a C-terminal WD-40 domain and several HEAT repeats which connect the kinase and WD-40 domains (PMID: 30767700)
