ULK2 is a serine/threonine kinase and has a function similar to ULK1. It interacts with other proteins in the complex (ATG13, ATG101 and RB1CC1) and plays a key role in Autophagy. ULK2 is directly involved in mitophagy where it exclusively interacts with WIPI2. (PMID: 32616830)
